The Franz Weber Foundation (FFW), an international NGO that works to protect the environment and animals, commissioned us to design ETHICS, a scientific outreach project about animal sentience.
Sentience tells us that animals can feel things. They are aware of pain and pleasure, of negative and positive experiences. That’s the purpose of ETHICS; to foster a shift in how we see, think about and understand non-human beings.
We also wanted to communicate that concept in its logo: via a small twist in the font, which we animated digitally to add life and colour.
